I was just wondering if Sox or any of the good folks here could shed a little light on what's been altered, updated, ect ect since the gameplay footage released a few months back.

I don't think saying "everything has" would be too bold of a statement... :-)

Well, hred's what I hope has been fixed :
-Walking animations slipped
-Reloading animations looked a bit jerky
-Gun surfaces looked a bit flat. Phong mapping or shaders would fix this.
-Textures could be sharper.

I could make a .txt document that would print out to about 25 pages of what i liked and thought was wrong, but it would be stupid to do so because of how preliminary the movie was...

Patience, young padawans!

Most work has been done on general sub-systems for Alliance.

Specific to what was seen in the videos, a great deal of work has been done on AI, new graphical features and further tweaking, and the weaponry system as a whole. No further animation tweaking has been done, as that should be one of the final things done before the game ships (at least until after you're certain that all movement rates have been balanced, gameplay tested, and finalized).

Otherwise we'd simply need to take the time to tweak them all over again and ensure that no sliding is present. Keep in mind that it is extremely important in game development to minimize the amount of work that needs to be either redone or discarded. Efficiency is paramount in shipping a great product on schedule.

Well, the videos got me here and seeing as how I'm pretty jaded, that's not bad. :)

Video should show more of the warstudio and gameplay. Like intensive battle clip, where you can see leaning, shooting, running, explosions and more. While the movie goes on. The weapon changes all the time, like every 3 seconds. From the smallest arm to the biggest. Just a tip to a great video.

I hope the character models improve in quality because they didn't look so hot in the video.
