At the moment the game sounds great but will it have some battles from the vietnam war such as Diem Bien Phu, the seige of Khe Sahn, The Tet offencive of 1968, Long Tan etc. It would be great if alliance would add this conflict to the game if they have not done so already.

Yeah id like to see the Korean war in there, but i really dont give two shíts about old weapons ^^ (except the classic bolt actions)

Nah Steyr_Aug And others + sniper rifles, im not gonna be playing this game for the history, but for the massive choice of weapons.

Also leave white whatever his name is a-fúcking-lone. Hes got as much right to say what he thinks as anyone else. And it doesnt get us closer to getting this friggin game released.

Peace.

As the story focuses on an influential family of sorts, it'd be fantastic to be in a position of power in the NVA during the Tet Offensive.

I was thinking as players we could bump into an old colonial plantation with private guards, like they found in Apocalypse Now Redux :o

Having a level taking place in the jungle or in a bombed out Khe Sahn would definitely be awesome.
The last great Vietnam game I played was Vietcong and that game had some of the most atmospheric levels. The ones taking place in the underground tunnels where a thrill to play!
Since the game is about invisible wars, I can imagine you fighting directly with/against the Soviet forces which where sent to Vietnam to act as "advisers".

Also, count me wrong (hopefully :\) but I do remember that the developers said that Vietnam would not be included in the base game.
In any case, anything is possible if an SDK is released (do you hear me guys???? )

The single player campaign for Alliance does not currently have any levels in Vietnam, as it wouldn't naturally fit into the current story for Alliance. That said almost any conflict in the last 100 years would be considered for expansions or sequels. Only if we know we can do it justice and do it right, of course.

While there are mentions of it at various key points, we reserved it for good content in follow up games.
