I'm talking Computers,
Guitars and anything else you can hack up and make better (or worse that sometimes happens).
No game mods (we've already discussed this at length).
So what kind of tinkering have we done with our stuff or plan on doing.
I'll start off with my first PC mod horror story, with you guessed it, water cooling.
Had the system running great (got my Athlon XP 3000+ to a BLAZING! 2.5 Ghz ) when it inevitably sprang a leak all over my lovely Tyan Tachyon G9600pro and promptly destroyed it .

Still debating on putting that LS2 in my truck or not, but other than that I haven't "modded" too many things, but I have fixed a good amount of machines and trucks/cars.
Ford F250 with a blown head gasket, customer waited until I took the heads off to tell me the rear main seal was leaking as well, so I just pulled the motor and fixed everything on the engine stand.
Fixed a CS7000 like this the other day, of course the dutch can't make anything easy to work on at all either, everything has to be just slightly in the way of everything else.
I'm turning your thread into things you've fixed
