So, alot has happened since we last saw each other in 2006. For one, I graduated high school and hit the magical age of 21. You know what this means, right? Drinking! I drank a fair amount in my first year in college and shortly after discovering how the obscene number of beers out there, i've decided that I will try them all (or atleast make an attempt.) I guess this is now the unofficial beer thread? :)

Here are a few from my last trip

First up, a certain little known brew from Ireland!

Hands down the best head I have ever seen on a beer.

Next up, two English beers. English beers are quickly becoming my favorite.

If you ever see any of Wychwood's beers, I can't say enough about how amazing they are.

Saw this little guy at the local European store and I couldn't resist. Apologies for the bad pic (maybe that is evident of a good beer hehe) but it's called "Okacim" and it hails from Poland.

Very decent, although standard ale. Tastes alot like Blue Moon or other Belgian wheat beers.

Ah Guiness... How I love thee! I used to like it as a black and tan (half Guiness, half Bass ale), but now I prefer it unsullied by other filth.

Such a shame that it's only about 70% as good if not from a tap, else I'd keep some at home more often.

I really like Sam Adams Boston Lager, as well a bunch of their variants (depends on my mood). However, I tend to dislike most American brews. On that note, it would be difficult to decide if I would prefer light beer or warm urine (bit of a toss up for me). :)

Finally, if I'm in the mood for a refreshing yet still flavorful beer, I really enjoy Presidente. It's a Dominican Republic brew, but recently became much easier to find in the states (well, at least in the north east):

Please Drink Responsibly (for the lawyers) and stay thirsty my friends (for everyone else).

I don't drink much beer, usually only with certain meals.

Of course, since I live in Texas, Shiner Bock is quite good, and usually my go-to beer. Otherwise, Tecate is quite my favourite :3

The glass can be half empty or half full, as long as there's whiskey in it. Whiskey is KEY.

I was about to post about Shiner....
Quite tasty, especially the Blonde kind and the Heffenveisen (sp?)

The other day I had Pyramid Apricot Ale and it was DELICOUS. though pricy like all microbrews :(

DEAR GOD YES, Shiner Heffeweizen is more delicious than champagne.

Too bad it only comes in the 6/12 Shiner Family Reunion packs :\

Don't really drink beer too much anymore unless I'm at a party. I prefer whiskey and other liquor.

Yeah Wychwood beers are simply the best to me, i always have hobgoblin in the fridge! we have a host of weird and wonderfull array of beers here in Yorkshire. The best being Black Sheep, IMO, they make Monty Pythons Holy Ale too.

The holy ale blew me away when I first drank it. Definitely a favorite after drinking it. I've been consumed by Texas beer lately. Shiner, Ziegenbock , and St Arnolds.

If you can find that in the UK I'll be very surprised lol. I wouldn't mind shipping some to you though.

Hmm this is a very good point. We will have to research this pending the shipment.
