This game was the first tactical shooter I ever played. I spent an unknown amount of time tweaking my loadouts for my team members before every mission. That part of the game will translate nicely in Alliance through the warstudio.

You also died super fast in that game. Although my record of "rounds taken" is 48

I remember playing a Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear on my old Dreamcast, and yes - they had a spectacular amount of firearms, and quite realistic, too. The only thing is, you could never see the gun in your hands, all you had was a cross hair, lol.

GREAT game.

If Rogue Spear is the one I'm thinking about, it had one of the best flashbang effects I've ever seen in a game (huge credit to their team). I know that freezing the screen and then slowly alpha-ing it away exploded in popularity since then, but I'm not a fan of that trend.

Rainbow Six
Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch
Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear
Rainbow Six: Ravenshield

All great games, they were the sole reason I am an FPS junkie now. :) It would scare me to know how much time I spent playing those games, both SP and MP. Still looking for a replacement for Ravenshield. The intensity of competition matches for that game has gone unmatched. COD4 came close, but not quite.

Lockdown - buggy, buggy, buggy, it had some potential though.
Vegas 1 - Cartoonish
Vegas 2 - Even more cartoonish

Notice I left the Rainbow Six tag off of those. They are not R6 games, but an abomination spewed out the mouth of UBI.....

Damn, this takes me back!

Did anyone also play Swat 3 back in the day? That game was amazing at lan parties!
It sucks how mostly everything these days is so streamlined and user-friendly.
Rainbow Six really forced you to be tactical and think every time you fired your gun.

Never played SWAT 3, but I own SWAT 4, which is an awesomely realistic, tactical, and intense game, especially online.
