I think the G98 and the K98k should be included. The G98 should have the possiblility of a 20 round extended trench magazine, and both should have bayonets.

Rifle No 9 Mk 1: .280 inch automatic (AKA the Enfield EM2). Theres alot of analysts that say its the best assault rifle ever produced because of its high accuracy, 800 meter effective range and controllable automatic fire. As the only bullpop rifle that has been approved for operational use by the SAS and the biggest mistake Chirchill ever made by cancelling the weapons manufacture contract in 1951 a year after its adoption it has a unique place in firearms history. http://world.guns.ru/assault/as59-e.htm

Edit

Ive found photos of the carbine version and a short video on http://www.britishpathe.com/ dowloads are free if you pick the low quality option.

Cleaning an AK, that's blasphemous! He could have stuck the banana inside the dust cover and then fired it, and the AK would have worked fine :P

I propose the STG44 Vampir. The first (I think) infrared/night vision gun to be used in a war. So what if the whole thing weighed 35-40 pounds? You could see men at night and they couldn't see you!

http://www.tankhunters.net/vitrina/NACHTJAGER2.JPG

Information about it: http://www.missing-lynx.com/articles/di ... utions.htm

The only thing is, I believe only about 20 or so of the IR systems made it onto the STG44 platform. The rest were tank mounted or MG42 mounted.

Still, it'd be unique and I bet you'd be the only game ever to have it.

Just something to think about.

One slight problem, they need to get hold of the weapon to model it.

I seem to recall the team saying that they wouldn't be able to get a hold of all the weapons they were going to model and use in the game, but rather use ballistics data and pictures.

Really, all it is is the STG44 with a special scope, giant blacklight, and a powerpack on the back. There are, unfortunately, only about three pictures. That I could find anyway.

(Yes, the last one is adrawing :? )

Edit: Here's an illustration of the backpack http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/reviews/ ... vampir.jpg

(I understand there is no guarantee that this would make it in, just proving the point that a little google work can bring results =P )

Bayonets

When outnumbered.......

....bayonets.

Sometimes the enemy just gets too close to aim at. In the army we are trained to fix bayonets before entering a house, or before overrunning an enemy position or before an enemy over runs ours.

Apart from the sheer pleasure of humiliation kills; in games such as Ghost Recon, Operation Flashpoint and Hidden and Dangerous 2, killing people at point blank becomes quite difficult, lag dancing and circle strafing, emptying the full clip on auto, totally missing, and then reloading.
Just stick him.
Bayonets provide a melee option above the old counterstrike dagger and beyond the Halo punch. Perhaps not as cool as Dukes mighty foot but it's a lot more bloodthirsty and crosses all time periods.
You can find Bayonets implemented successfully in Red Orchestra, all fixing bayonets at the spawn has a great WW2 atmosphere to it. And also in Operation Flashpoints UKforces mod.

P.S. Bayonets can be silly too.
