Alliance: The Silent War

I've been registered here since May 2006, when is the game coming out?

The project is currently on halt because the Alliance team is working with second life to improve the visuals. Alliance may or may not come out.
Go find another game to wait for.

We (by that I mean the majority of people on these forums) have hope though.


Windward Mark is currently working with Linden Labs on improving and updating Second Life so hopefully once they are done with that they will dust off Alliance and resume work


But yeah, probably not anytime soon :S

Astonishingly, White Noise probably isn't far off. It's nearly '08 so '08 + full dev cycle = '10.

We don't know that for a fact. The future is "indeterminate". They might go forward wtih it, or they might just start work on Linden Lab's next project.

So what you guys are trying to say is this game is on halt because you want to improve the graphics of an mmorpg???

Ok. I can wait, but the Alliance devs have to promise you'll make second life look in every bit of way like Alliance itself since they're gonna use the same technology to make it better. Otherwise, what's the use???

Also, updates since 2006:

I have an excellent PC and am able to play the game if it comes out. My Xbox 360 is broken so you don't have to make it for that...

TAKE YOUR TIME!!! Don't rush. We can wait till over 2010 for the game, BUT:

Vietnam War
Iran-Iraq War
Soviet War In Afghanistan
Gulf War

Yugoslav Wars
War In Afghanistan
War In Iraq

And every MAJOR battle in it...

Plus the 200 guns. And I'll give you till 2012 to make 200 vehicles.

I guarentee you if you put all this you'll get the Best FPS Game Of All Time award.

I want to play this game BAD! And I'm really pissed of that they are pending(?) the project because of something like Second Life. So basically furries and people who fail so hard in real life that they need to live another one on the internet are more important than a possible LEGENDARY EPIC FPS GAME? That doesn't make any f**king logical sense!
This game would satisfy anybody from those who like WWII to those who like modern combat and it would include conflicts that have never been adapted into games before, and there's a buttload of realistic weapons, realistic weather conditions and day/night circles, the WarStudio with tons of interesting possibilties, hopefully a single player campaing with a great storyline that cannot be rushed through in a day or two and decent multiplayer. If they were finish this game in the close future and only half of it's features would be included it would still KICK ASS!
Damn Second Life and finish this game!

I dont' know, I thought the graphics were fine. It looked kinda like Team Fortress 2 or XIII graphics. I mean, it's better to go for a cartooonish look than try to make it realistic like CoD if the maps are going to be huge and stuff because then it'll appear as if the graphics are bad.
