You guys are a funny bunch......we will all smash your dick, lol. That is f'n hilarious. Have not been around in quite some time BUT I have been modding for BF2 quite alot. I was thinking though, maybe the models, sounds, animations, etc... for all the weapons could be bought, traded, acquired somehow and there could be an Alliance mod for an upcoming game. No sense in letting all the hard work go down the drain. I did beta testing for Crysis and let me tell ya that there are alot of possibilities with that game engine. I see a perfect marriage between all the stuff here and that game. I already took apart the beta piece by piece and it is easily modded. And with the editor so easy to use getting sp and mp support will be easy as well. Any opinions? :?:

Email the team and ask. As I understand it though, the IP all still belongs to them. I'm not really seeing what they'd have to gain by giving it away.

Sounds like a great idea but not if the team still plans on coming back to Alliance of course, which is what we do not quite know for certain.

Hey BigMac, you were the one with the crazy PC setup right? Memory doesn't serve me so well in the mornin'. (And neither does any effort to use the search function)

Yes that is me. I hope that the game will still be completed but when you are working on a game it takes alot out of you. The game they are working on looks like it will be a wip for some time to come. I was concerned that by the time their team wrapped that game up this game would be old, as far as the technology goes. DX10 games are starteing to pop up and I have to say that they look amazing.

Of course graphics don't make the game BUT they are a huge part. All the assets they have could be put to good/great/awesoome use. Don't get me wrong, this game should be made for sure but with the amount of time it takes to release a quality product every day that passes is another day lost on the development of Alliance.

It is my hope that weather Alliance is made or not that the modding community have access at some point to the tools available. Working that long and hard to just sit on their IP is their choice BUT time is working against them. Before you know it another year will have passed and games far superior in all areas will be released. The only advantage I see Alliance having is the depth of weapons.

Games like Ghost Recon,Ravenshield,Quake,UT,COD, and many, many others are stjll fun to play for sure BUT they are dated in many areas. Even the modding community is going to bigger and better games with easier editors, and more tools available. Well, enough of my rants........I just hope we get to see Alliance in some form, full game or one hell of a kick ass mod.

:D

What does this have to do with 'Alliance the game' development?

I'm VERY sad that Alliance won't be coming out any time soon.
Its the very game I have waited along time to play.

However.

Thank you, THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for your work in Second Life.
The new version of the test client with your technology makes the world so much more playable!

My creations, and my friend's have never looked so great!

THANK YOU!

Second life is for nerds that got no life, thats the name for it.."Second life". Yeah it must look good for MMO Game. When people heard about alliance they were amazed and there was a good game in deveploment for PC, but then all changed because of some stupid MMO game...I've played some of them like Pirates of the caribean online...what a waste of time it was. Laggy and buggy. It sucks and I don't think that second life is gonna change anything..Just look at the Age of Conan..compare it to second life, even second life sounds like some stupid simulation. Its not waste of money, unless people got life. It's just a lot of waste of time.

NERDS!!!

LOL, I can't believe you wrote that!
Second Life is more like a chatroom meets Garry's mod.
Its more about creating stuff, and chatting with other people.
Its a social game, and its not for everyone.
