If you ask me the multyplayer menu can make or break a games multyplayer comunity. In a lopt of games you just have a list of servers or sometimes just a butten that lets you join a random server. I really hope that this game have a better system. Here are some suggestions:

1. A friends list where you can put your friends and where your clanmembers(if you are member of a clan) are displayed. You can chat and see what server someones on and immidiatly join that server. Think Xfire.

2. 3 types of games. Normal, where you just pick a server from the list and play. Ranked where you are put in a server with players from the same rank and where your game achivements are saved. good achivements will get you a higher possition in the rankladder. teamkilling and stuff will get you a lower position. Also add a system that achivements lose value over time. This means that if you stop playing you will slowely drop in rank as new players gain the same achievements. I will get back on the 3rd type clanranked.

3. an ingame clansystem. somebody already talked on putting in special clantags or playerskins. I would also like to see a clanlist, where you can easely get information about and join clans. Also there will be a special clanladder that works basicly the same as the playerladder. Clans can participate in clanranked games. Just like in the ranked games they will be put in a server with same rank clans. All the members of the clan will have to fight on the same team and only members will be able to join. The clan leader can pick who will fight. He will have a set amound of positions to fill. (small clans will want to play 4vs4, large clans may fight 20vs20) The winning clan will go up in rank.

4. you could also add in some medals and awards and military names fore that ranks (recruit private, corporal, sergeant etc.) as you see in BF2 and 2142.

I can't go into any details, but we've thought about all that and more. :)

You should be more than pleased with what we're planning.

Ok thatl be great!
Alot of games do not have any ingame multyplayer community and clans and rankinglists have to be build around the game on external sites. I would personally like to see that you would not have to quit the game at all to join a clan and become an active member of the multyplayer community. I can now hope that this game will do better.

I liked idea number 4 alot, about each ingame clan as you put it, having their own custom skins/accesories.

It would be neat to be able to tell someone's clan just by seeing a certain thing they are wearing, like a red bandana or something :)

King of like capes in Guild Wars, that'd be great. Except maybe more in depth. Like one clan can have the Fallschirmjaeger camoflauge, while another has WWI British Army uniforms, etc... That would be ultimate.

I don't like rankings because people start playing just to get a higher rank and not for fun.

This is why people make unranked game servers. :)

No one plays on those if there are honor ones though.

Well if enough people don't care about ranks then they will.

It's not that I want ranks in the MP side of things but the more choices people have the better.

The thing is AeroCmdr: I have played a lot of games where people are just fooling around online. This is fun and should be optional, but i think videogames are often supose to be competative. The individual matches are competative, so why not make a big ranking system to make the entire comunity competative. Perhaps you mean that you wil get people who just lonewolf and try to get as many kills without watchiing for there teams, but if you hate this you can join a clan with your friends and work together on a ranked game. So basicly you have:
normal games, where you and your friendscan fool around without presure.
ranked games, for more competative players
clanranked games, for people who like to compete together

personally, with so many options i cant see how you could dislike this multyplayer system

On top of that i think clans should be able to stage there own litle events and toernaments and that you should have servers and chatrooms specialy for your rank so you can make frends with players with the same gameexperience. I also stress that ingame teamspeak is a must and that you shoudl be able to create a squadsystem as in BF2 if you are playing with a large amound of people.

There I think i am done expressing my views on multyplayer
developers, you have my trust
