Alliance: The Silent War

Just an idea, any chance that custom shoulder patches, like Rainbow Six Rogue Spear, would be an option in multiplayer? Not sure how it was done tech wise, but being able to choose a small pic for a shoulder patch and have it show up in multiplayer was a really neat feature.

Also one step better would be to have that ans also name tags, above the pocket, like the armed forces wear. So for instance if someone was called Thompson this name would appear on their character model.

i would also like to see this, but with the name of your clan or squad, and their logo ( if one) where the patch goes

that sounds like too much effort

yeh it is a nice idea, but with all the different conflicts this game covers it could be a very time consuming feature to implment in a realistic way

Dirtyrat comes pretty much hits the nail right on the head. This fall under a feature that we've discussed and is on our master list, but probably won't make it into Alliance itself. One of the pitfalls that we're serious about avoiding is feature creep, as we want to get a polished game out there for the fans, without taking Forever to develop it.

Well, I think implementing an uploadable custom shoulder patch system will not be reasonable. Unlike AvSims where you can see the planes' livery well, seeing a shoulder patch in a shooter, especially in a firefight, is problematic.
