Came from the Inf forums.

I like the things they're trying to do too. Reminds me of aforementioned Inf game.

I like the things the engine is going to have (ballistics, lighting) and that it's built from the ground up for this kind of game.

I also like that you've got firearms and battlefields from several different conflicts using the one engine.

Seems like you've got the same sort of potential as OFP only with better infantry combat.

Hoping the AI is going to be good too.

This quote from an inerview
Quote:
Will Alliance include alternate fire for some weapons and melee combat?

Alternate fire is only the tip of the iceberg for what you're going to be
able to do with the weapons, yes. Melee combat is planned for inclusion as well.

I came here by accident! Really I'm serious. I was frustrated with the call of duty franchise and what they were doing to it. I did a search for a potential trailer for the call of duty 4 and I'm sure you guessed it... alliance was the actual video and not Call of Duty 4.

You guys need to get your game advertised! I belong to a gaming clan of over 100 members (all over 25) and we are all addicted to WWII era games. Not one of us heard about this until last week.

We are totally stoked about giving this game a try, your trailer blew us away. We have devoted an entire thread section just on this game in our forums and have left it open to have the public view it to gain more interest (www.10-78.com /other games section).

I am extremely impressed with the forum attention that you developers are taking. Many other developers could learn from you that the end users want to be in the loop the whole way through and it can do nothing but get more interest to bloom from the conversations helping to obviously boost sales in the end.

One aside note, thank you for keeping a version of this for the PC. There are many of us that demand peak performance for our gaming and upgrade quite regularly all our hardware. Console's are just too simplified for us and we want to experience the full gammut of what a developer can produce without any limitations.

Cheers Gents, looks good!

Many thanks for the praise, and welcome to the forums.

The fact that the developers actually care about what the community wants is what truly makes Alliance a magnificent game.

I think all of us here are pretty much waiting on edge for Alliance to come out :D

Stick around, read some threads, and wait it out. Be sure to leave any comments you deem necessary.

Wasn't that trailer not an Alliance product?

LOL, It was actually for Infinity Ward's next project. The gun with the nade launcher looked fun though. :)

I was searching for any news I could find about Call of Duty 4. Several web pages out there had posted the modern day Russian video of Alliance as being from CoD4. So after some research, I found out the truth, and have loved every minute of it.

Wait.....

If this is true, how did she/he know DerMann posts here?

Forget that, how did Bjorn knew who she/he is?

So what game is it? The video begins with a Russian officer talking to you as you ride in the back of a truck down snowy urban streets, with a Hind of some sort flying over. And then you get out of the truck and start fighting.
