I've changed the forum software to not allow a user's first post to contain URL's. If it does, they get an error message explaining that they need to have at least 1 legitimate post before being allowed to post urls and that this is required to keep our spam levels manageable. Once you have at least 1 normal post, you can post url's to your hearts content.

This should keep most of the spam we're seeing off of the forum, but some will probably always get through (though it should be a lot less).

I know. But when people reply on this spams. Those threads gets to the top of forum and stays there to way long. Just let them be and drop down and been forgotten. Just to keep forum alive and inside of game subjects.

Bots or not bots. Don't reply on spammers.

Replying to mindless twits is the sole reason I use these boards though! :P

IceBallz is correct on this matter.

If you see a suspicious thread, please contact me on XFire (DerMann) or AIM (KingMokelore), or contact Sox and we'll get it closed as soon as possible.

This is standard message board procedure, it has been field tested and is somewhat effective.
