I know there was a thread about PhysX cards, but I want to know what's planned for physics.

I'd really like to see a full blown physics engine, with ragdolls and movable everything. Maybe not a fully destructable environment, but just some basic physics. Like if you shoot off cable A that is supporting column B, column B falls and it's :cry: time for those in its path. Or say you throw a grenade into a saloon type establishment, and player C is hiding behind a jukebox or something. After the grenade explodes, it sends chair D and table E, along with glasses and bottles F-M, flying at player C. Maybe not killing him, but doing some harm to him.

What's planned for physics is as many dynamic objects as possible without murdering the framerate. Our artists natural inclination is to make as much stuff as possible dynamic, so rest assured that as much stuff in the levels will respond to physics as possible.

i hope that when i drop the cd the physics mess up and it just floats in the air not getting scratched.

You'll want the Collectors Edition then. It comes with an anti-gravity coating on all the disks. ;)

Bah. I don't trust Ageia. Nothing I've seen or read so far about the PhysX cards makes them look like they're worth $20, much less $250.
