Are we going to have access to all 200 or so guns in single player? If so, do we start off in the WarStudio with a selection limited to the era, or do we start off with a preselected firearm and switch guns as we progress? I assume all the guns arent available from the start of the game since theres no time travel involved.

Correct. You must go out and capture the gun to add it to your inventory.

In single player the WarStudio is time-locked to whatever time you are currently in (only weapons made before that date are available). You will be given some weapons automatically as you progress (mostly the standard issue ones), but for the most part you will be purchasing, finding, or capturing weapons to add to your WarStudio inventory. As such, your WarStudio will end up filling up primarily with the weapons that you are personally most interested in.

Please either make it so that at the end of the campaign you'll automatically get all the guns or make some secret cheat mode, cause I am going to worship this game, but I'm gonna need my guns ;)

We will not automatically give you all the weapons in the single player mode. However, you'll be able to continue playing with your current WarStudio intact (timelocked of course) and continue to collect from that point forward. Also, since there are so many weapons, the rate of collection will be relatively brisk.

So basically, it'll be like Gran Turismo. If you finish part, you get a gun. However, you can buy guns as well. I just hope it doesn't take as long as it does in Gran Turismo ;)

I think it's been addressed before, but what will happen when you come across a new type of gun? Do you have to keep it in your inventory until the end of the level, or will you just pick it up and it'll automatically be added to your War Studio?

That's TBD based on playtesting, though we're currently strongly leaning towards the former. Like I said before, the rate of collecting will be quite brisk and won't take anywhere near as long as GT.

So in order to have every gun in single player you'd have to make many trips back to the level to bring back weapons?

Not necessarily. Unique weapons found in the levels will be few. As such, your main collecting mechanism is purchasing, distantly followed by being awarded weapons. Acquiring weapons by picking them up in the levels will only be necessary for few rare or hidden weapons, otherwise it would be purely based on your personal choice (aka you actually want to pickup X weapon rather than actually purchasing it).

Is it possible for you to elaborate further on the purchasing aspect of alliance?

How often will players be given access to buy something? At the end of each level, or series of levels?
Can you sell weapons to get cash to buy others?

While although i'll probably hang on to something like a PSG if i found it in a level, i might be tempted to sell it if i could get the 10 grand it goes for so i could buy a mass assortment of other goodies... how is pricing going to be handled? Will there by a fixed price for items, or will it flux.

Will we be able to decide how many mags we start off with? Will we have to purchase the ammo as well?

I think prices should rise as time goes on, due to inflation. If I remember correctly, a Webley Fosbury in 1916 cost a little over £14. I can assure you that the price of a Fosbury is well over £5,000 now.

Before the start of every level and very rarely in the middle of certain levels as well.

Nope. The economy is going to be generous enough such that you should never really need to do that.

We'd like to rigorously playtest what we're doing before we confirm anything.

Yes.
No, you will not have to purchase ammo.

Will the amount of magazines and the rest of our load out plus the weight/type of additions to our firearm affect speed and maneuverability?

Thanks
