for some reason i thaught you were still talking about the .50. but the punt gun is in 4 it is a real gun and its been banned for a long time in the USA. mainly because you can goto a lake full of ducks and shoot. everything in front of you in a V shape is dead because of how much it spits out a lot of lead. back in the day of wood ships that used to use things like a punt gun all the time. we also use them in modern day tanks for anti personal rounds and herd of using them on low flying helicopters. but all it is is a big ass shotgun. and in tremors 4 one of the worms eats the punt gun

Yeah punt guns were banned in the mid to late 19th century because of their devestating effects on foul. They were also called market guns, which should be self explanatory.

Punt gun:

They would attack them to boats then go up to a big flock of ducks that was still on the water and fire that big sum bitch and kill the whole lot. Often they would use whats called "net shot" which was basically a bunch of net with weights on them and shoot that at the birds, which would kill tons of birds at once.

A rather amusing story is how my dad and some of is frat mates once fitted a sawn off .410 gauge shotgun to a remote controled boat and move it over to a duck and activate a mechanism that would pull the trigger on the gun, and cap the duck. :D
