The MP7 isn't much bigger than a pistol and it has a scope.

It's a aimpoint not a scope that most have.

.45 in 230 gr. > 4.6 mm in 28 gr. Granted the 1911 is a competition gun not a tactical pistol but still it has a red dot sight. 8-)

Maybe length and height wise, but it's still has much more mass than a pistol. Also, as D_LaMz pointed out 4.6mm fails as a pistol round.

I'd much rather have a 1911 or even a P.14-45 if one was availible.

I like the AK-103, its the grandson of the good old AK-47 and... I had 1 in my hands!! :D I also like the entire AK 100 series.

I like the G-36 and its variants too.

The Sig-550/51/52 look great too.

Aren't they still developing the Hk P46 (or Hk UCP) to work in duo with the MP7? Akin to the P90 and Five-seveN. Can't seem to find anything new on that project.

FeAR you really have absolutely no idea what the hell you are talking about when it comes to any sort of firearm, do you?

Favorite modern weapon:

AK-47, AKM, AK-74, AK-103, AK-105, AK-100, AK-74U, AK-74SU, etc... - Who can argue? Just versions of the most popular, well-liked, and reliable assault rifles in existence.

Remington M40A1 - Primary weapon of the Marine sniper. Tried and true time and time again this rifle and it's predecessors have proven how truely accurate and deadly one Marine and his rifle can be.

Colt M1911A1 - Designed by Jon Browning this pistol was THEE design for all other automatic pistols to be designed after. Serving for over 60 years as the sidearm of the United States armed forces, this pistol has proven thousands of times to be an absolutely rock-hard, unbeatable design. Spawning hundreds of copies and improvements, any modern automatic pistol you find has had it's design roots buried in the 1911.

I thought it was the Hi-Power that was the design for future guns. ie: USP

Wasn't the hi-power based off the same base design as the 1911?

The Browning High Power, was an improved version of the 1911A1. It is the epitome of semi-automatic handgun.

Somebody should tell HK that the 4.6 fails as a high velocity, armor piercing round before they finish... :P

Just trying to get some info out of you guys, I can't seem to find anything new about it.
