the two shots are nearly simultaneous.

If it were to be included in Alliance (as an unlock?? o:) and I was the designer I would just give the gun the comparative power of a .44 special, a slightly longer reloading time and perhaps a slightly slower muzzle velocity. Recoil should be modeled such that with rapid fire the sight picture is lost but accuracy can be maintained.

The way the WarStudio weapon logic works isn't meant to be hand tuned in such a fashion. Recoil, muzzle climb, bullet velocity, kinetic energy, etc are all driven by physics formulas. Ideally we shouldn't have to actually model most of this behavior, it should just occur based on the weapon and bullet specifications.

In that case hats off to you cause thats just plain awsome.

How exactly is the WarStudio controlled on the user end to input such data?

There is no user-level access to the back-end weapon data for the WarStudio. If the logic no longer matches what the server expects, that user's game would break and they would get flagged as a cheater. The release of mod tools would add the ability to modify or add to the data.

The user will be able to query the WarStudio's data to their heart's content. Doing so will let let them create custom loadouts, custom scenarios, or just find the perfect weapon for their current mood.

Hehe, its funny you should mention that scene from the matrix. When I saw the early videos waay back in 2006, and asi was describing the war studio on gametrailers, that's exactly what I pictured. You put in your parameters and a huge rack of guns shoots b, leaving you to walk around and pick whichever ones you want. :)
