On the rooftop it may be for dramatic effect, But That looked like a head shot, A body would drop instantly from that kind of hit not fall on his knees and then down. The most commanly way I have been explained the phsyics of a body collapsing is like a sack of potatoes, So I'm wondering if they are going to fall for the most part like a sack, or if a lot of it will be kind of slow for effect?

We went for the dramatic effect in that shot. The game itself is still under heavy development, so I can't say what the final death animations/ragdolls will look like after we're done tweaking everything to our liking.

I thought it looked fantastic, although I cant say I've ever viewed a person getting shot in the face before....

I thought it looked fine. But since this is only a beginning, don't worry about it. It looked good to me tho ;P

I think it was awesome. Refreshing to see a change from the usual splat 'n fly deaths. I like the more realistic approach a lot.

I agree it did look cool, And I definetly do not want the bodies to fly three feet before they touch down, But for a head shot they should just drop pretty much, now I wouldn't mind of a building or anything but that slow death just isn't realistic for what they are trying to portray I feel.

One of the things that irritates me about all the 'ragdoll' physics is that, while it's realistic, it's too damn consistent. It'd be neat if (say) the game were to take into account the "last throes of life" of the person being shot. IE, if they're running forward, and I hit them from a 90 degree angle through the vitals, they should try and turn towards me and maybe put up a struggle indicating an ounce of life left in 'em - and they might get a shot off only to quickly pass to the other side - and sometimes not. Luck o' the cards, and all.
